In agony and nailed to the tree
Jesus turned and reached down to me.
With pure love in his eyes and face
He held me steady in his gaze.

I love you my child, this is for you.
Put your hand in mine and love me too.
Trust me and I’ll show you the path to take
Just love all the people you meet, for my sake.

I’ll never leave you. I’ll always be there
I’ll always love and I’ll always care.
Under my wings you’ll find quiet repose
Trust me my child, the one whom I chose.
